The Baccano! Wiki is a communal repository of information about the Baccano! franchise.
Mission Statement[]
The Baccano! Wiki operates as an ever-expanding online archive that empowers its patrons to create, revise, and maintain the very reference materials that they browse for free. More than 500 articles have been created since the wiki's founding in 2009 as a direct effort from patrons like you; you, at any time, may improve those articles or write one of your own. Every edit you make is in service of a wiki that is committed to providing information that is thorough, detailed, up-to-date, and fundamentally useful.
Please consult our Help, Policy, and Community pages at your leisure, or an administrator for any inquiries.
History[]
The Baccano! Wiki as it appeared on December 27, 2010[1] through early July 2013. Modifications to a wiki's overall style require admin user rights; out of the approximate first four years of its existence, the wiki had experienced only four days of active administration.
In the springtime of 2009, Funimation dubbed and distributed the 2007 Baccano! anime adaptation for anglophone consumers—one of whom, AimanFurtwrangler, founded the Baccano! Wiki via Wikia, Inc. on September 30, 2009. His departure from the wiki on October 3, after four days of edits, led to a nearly four year-long administrative vacuum that a handful of vandals and visitors filled with content—so gradually that it was not until Spring 2012 that the wiki reached a milestone of one hundred articles. The gradual pace perhaps reflected Wikia's own gradual rise in prominence as a wiki host during the early 2000s; although Wikia was inexorably poised to dominate the wikisphere at the cusp of the 2010s, it was not so ubiquitous as to have existing fan repositories naturally converge upon it.
At the cusp of the 2010s, therefore, available information in English on the Baccano! series was, besides a scarce commodity, still primarily shared and scattered across decentralized Baccano! fanshrines (themselves on the cusp of decline), LiveJournal communities, anime databases, and forums. The audience for Baccano! was already small. The percentage of that audience aware of the Baccano! Wiki even smaller. The percentage of those prepared to contribute to the wiki was smaller still—and those who did so in the year following Spring 2012 doubled the number of articles by the time Ladyshift adopted the wiki on July 22, 2013.[2]

Over the course of her two-week-long administration, Ladyshift achieved a lasting legacy by giving the wiki its first major stylistic overhaul; several of her design choices, including the wiki's distinguishing parchment background and its brown primary colors, survive to the present day. Her founding community welcome message via the Community Corner has meanwhile fallen into obscurity, as the Community Corner has since been deprecated, but Ladyshift's utilization of the feature nevertheless set a precedent in wiki management to which the next two Baccano! Wiki administrators would adhere.
Where Ladyshift established her legacy in the wiki's signature look, her successor, Farewellfire—known as Publicdomain when she adopted the wiki on August 7, 2015—established her legacy across 1410 edits made onward from June 2015 and over the thirteen months of her administration. Farewellfire began her tenure by expunging invalid articles, issuing bans to the vandals responsible, and categorizing articles en masse. Her accomplishments over the course of her administration include, but are not limited to: article creation, protection, expansion, and correction; extensive category creation and article categorization; extensive redirect wrangling; and replacing existing files with higher-quality versions.
In Farewellfire's own appended Community Corner message, Farewellfire reiterated Ladyshift's call for users to volunteer as wiki editors and—if able—fellow administrators. She gave one such volunteer—Revriley—administrative rights on January 10, 2016, six months before deciding to step down as an admin on July 22. 2016 would later witness Wikia rebranded to FANDOM, ushering in the 'modernization' era of FANDOM wikis.
As of Summer 2022, Revriley remains the sole administrator of the Baccano! Wiki.

- ↑ The 337 article count that Ladyshift mentions in her Community Corner message would have included by default multiple invalid articles (spam, off-topic, empty, gibberish) that had accumulated on the wiki in the absence of an active admin. Still, the number of legitimate articles had significantly increased since 2012.
