Bonus Material[]

  • Carol's Notes: A single page spread found at the beginning of the volume rather than the end as was the precedent, Carol's headline reads "Gunshots in town!!! Mafia war!?". A paragraph of notes accompanies a photograph of Kanshichirou Yaguruma and other Martillos talking with the police, in which Carol writes that she heard gunshots at Alveare on her way to work at the Daily Days. When she reported it to her company, Vice-President Gustav St. Germain made a brisk exit. Furthermore, a priest caused an uproar after scattering money on the street.
    • In the foreground, Carol is depicted flinching back as Gustav abruptly stands.
  • Special Thanks: A bonus illustration is included for the special thanks page, with the thanks for those who worked on the volume. The illustration depicts Maiza Avaro and Ronny Schiatto in the foreground, sharing a smile as Kanshichirou Yaguruma, Ennis, Firo Prochainezo, Randy, and Pezzo celebrate in the background.
  • Commentary on the manga from Ryohgo Narita: Narita, the original author of the work, enthuses that Shinta Fujimoto's manga was a "series of new discoveries" for him, starting when he supervised the scenario for the original section (presumably referring to the brand-new 1927 arc of Volume 1.
    • For Narita, Fujimoto's work offered a whole new dimension to Baccano! as had others before it: where Katsumi Enami first gave Baccano! "magnificent visuals"; the 2007 anime "sound and heat"; and the 2006 manga and the Category:Audio Dramas "other elements," Fujimoto's version especially imbues the special zeitgeist of Prohibition and the 1930s.
    • The commentary is footed by a Fujimoto-penned illustration of Firo, Ennis, and Czeslaw Meyer cooking in their kitchen.

Trivia[]

  • The ending line of the Yen Press synopsis differs between the online synopsis and the one printed on the back of the paperback edition. Where the online summary says, "The crazy ruckus comes to a close!", the paperback edition uses, "Let the crazy ruckus conclude!"
